Top 10 Questions asked
All our trips are fully customizable with no fixed itinerary. We create the route together with you, based on your personal preferences — such as how many hours you want to sail each day, whether you prefer sightseeing or relaxation, hiking, swimming, local cuisine, and more, and, most importantly, the weather conditions at the time.
We never pre-determine routes or push long sails in unpleasant weather. Your captain adjusts the plan daily to keep the experience relaxed, safe, and truly enjoyable. You’re also free to change plans anytime during the trip and stay longer wherever you love.
The Cyclades and the Saronic Islands offer different sailing experiences.
The Cyclades involve longer distances between islands and have a higher chance of stronger winds, especially in summer. This makes them more adventurous and sometimes choppier. The Saronic Islands, on the other hand, have shorter crossings, calmer waters, and a more relaxed overall pace.
Neither option is “better” universally. The choice depends on your comfort with sailing conditions, how much time you want to spend under sail, and the overall vibe you seek. Weather always has the final say, and flexibility is key to a successful trip.
Ultimately, our goal is to ensure that you have the best possible experience during your time in Greece"
Some islands can be comfortably combined in a one-week trip, while others cannot — at least not without sacrificing relaxation and enjoyment.
Mykonos and Paros are realistically reachable from Athens within a week under favorable conditions. However, islands such as Santorini, Patmos, Anafi, and other southern or eastern destinations lie over 150 nautical miles away. Visiting them in just one week would require long daily sailing hours, which we prefer to avoid.
For these more distant islands, we strongly recommend traveling to them by ferry or plane either before or after your sailing charter. After all, the real beauty of a sailing vacation is found in balance and enjoyment, not in trying to cover the maximum number of miles.
While our trips are weather-dependent, this never means cancellation.
When strong winds or rough conditions appear, we adapt the route and sail to more protected waters. Thanks to this approach, we have never lost a single trip to weather. With so many stunning alternative routes across Greece, there is always a beautiful and enjoyable way forward.
Flexibility is essential — and the secret to a smooth, safe, and truly memorable sailing holiday.
All prices are for the entire boat, not per person.
We offer private charters only, so the yacht is exclusively yours for the duration of the trip. The price remains the same regardless of how many guests are on board. This gives you complete privacy and maximum flexibility, while the total cost is simply shared among your group.
To help you plan your budget accurately, please note the following additional costs (apart from the boat rental price):
- Fuel: Fuel consumption depends on the weather, sailing distances, and chosen yacht. For a typical week, expect to use 400–900 liters, costing approximately €400 to €1,600 for the entire trip. The yacht is delivered with a full tank and must be refilled upon return.
- End Cleaning Fee: €300. This covers final cleaning of the yacht, bed linens, towels, tea towels, as well as preparation of the dinghy, outboard engine, and gas bottles.
- Port Docking Fees: Usually modest, ranging from €20 to €50 per night, depending on the marina or port.
- Crew Provisioning: Approximately €25–€30 per person per day for the crew’s meals.
- Guest Provisioning: Fully flexible and based on your preferences. This covers food, beverages, and alcohol for you and your group. Your cook will shop according to your list and have everything ready before your arrival.
Important: All costs listed on our website are for the entire boat (the whole group), not per person. Adding an extra guest after booking (if the yacht’s layout allows) does not increase the weekly boat price.
There is no fixed number of islands. It all depends on your preferences, the weather conditions, and the pace you want to enjoy.
Some guests like to explore a new island almost every day, while others prefer to linger longer in fewer places. Most commonly, guests visit 5 to 6 islands in one week, but this can easily be more or less depending on sailing distances and how much time you’d like to spend swimming, relaxing, or exploring on land.
The itinerary stays fully flexible throughout the trip, so you can slow down or move on whenever you wish.
You stay actively involved in all decisions throughout the trip.
The initial route is planned together with the captain on the day of embarkation, based on the latest weather forecast and your personal preferences. Daily adjustments are completely normal and expected. If you fall in love with a particular island or bay, you can stay longer. If the weather shifts, the captain will suggest better alternatives to keep the experience enjoyable.
Nothing is set in stone, spontaneity is one of the great joys of sailing.
Our charters run on a Saturday-to-Saturday basis.
On embarkation day (Saturday), the yacht is usually ready from around 14:00 at Alimos Marina in Athens. You’re welcome to board at that time and settle into your cabins. If you’ve pre-ordered provisioning, it will already be on board and stowed.
Once on board, the captain will:
- Welcome you and give you a tour of the yacht
- Conduct a full safety briefing
- Discuss your preferences and plan the first part of the route according to the weather forecast
After these short formalities, you can set sail the same day. Most guests sail for a few hours and enjoy their first swim or anchorage that very afternoon.
On the final day, the yacht returns to the marina on Friday evening. You spend the last night on board and disembark by 09:00 on Saturday morning. This schedule gives the crew enough time to thoroughly clean, service, and prepare the yacht for the next guests.
