Saronic Sailing - 1 week, 4 adults, 6 kids. Highlight of our trip! - Visited in September

We haven't stopped talking or thinking about the 1 week we had sailing the Saronic Islands since we've been back. Everything was perfect from months before we arrived to when we left. Eugene and Maria were always available - it was only months after I had paid the deposit that I realised I hadn't spoken to Eugene in person, only via email! One simple call it was clear why I hadn't been stressed about the trip at all. Next, Eugene sets us up with an Australian-born Greek skipper who he thought we would get along with - talk about attention to detail. Together we chart our course for the Saronic on advice that the Cyclades was too windy and would involve too many hours of sailing every day. Great advice for 2 families - 4 adults and 6 children. Then once we were off and headed to the planned destinations, everything was PERFECT from the time we left to the time we returned. I give these guys the highest of recommendations (and I have been telling our story and recommending them to friends since we've been back)! We'll definitely be back Maria and Eugene.

Fantastic introduction to Greece! - Visited May 2017

Eugene and Maria made the process of chartering the Lagoon 440 catamaran an easy, straight forward process. We took a week charter and had the very good fortune of having George Maleas as our skipper. George briefed our group on the many different course options, provided the pros and cons of each option and left the decision to the group, which opted to sail in the Saronic Gulf, visiting Poros, Ermioni, Ydra, Methana, Egina among others. 

The catamaran was in excellent condition and provided ample room for our group of 7.

Our daily "port of call" proved a great way to experience various measures of Greek hospitality ... and to a person, we all came away very pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the Greeks are!! The other thing we all raved about was the variety and freshness of seafood which we heartily (over)indulged! Again, the good fortune of having a knowledgeable skipper to suggest restaurants was a blessing.

I will highly recommend a Yachtsailing.gr charter to anyone planning to visit Greece.

We had a wonderful time sailing a week on board Casino with Skipper Konstantinos and Hostess Elisavet. I've added the itinerary and photos of a typical meal on the boat. The whole week was amazing and not one moment we will not remember. Peak season was over and the water was like a swimming pool. Any questions were met by the skipper with enthusiastic answers or solutions. Would definitely do it over again. Highly recommend. We thought the highlight was going to be the islands, but Elisavet out did herself with the food. it was sensational!

Amazing Time Sailing in Greece! - Visited May 2017

From the start of the planning, working with Eugene and the staff at YachtSailing.gr was a great experience. Everyone was very responsive and great at answering our questions. We had a group of 7 people and no one was experienced in this type of trip so we had a lot of questions. We sailed on the Casino and our skipper was George. having never done a week-long sailing trip before, we did not realize how important it was to have the right skipper. George was awesome at explaining our options for the islands we chose to visit and we had amazing dinners every night at the restaurants he recommended, as well as seeing all the sights. If you are thinking about sailing in Greece, I would highly recommend Yachtsailing.gr...Ask for George to be your skipper!

Beautiful and a blast! Trip of a lifetime. - Visited May 2017 

Very well run operation. From Commincations via email to boarding with our helpful and reassuring skipper, "George-the-Best". Making sure we had transport to the Marina. Supply/Grocery list ordering and delivery arranged. They answered every question we had.

We were very comfortable on the Lagoon 440 catamaran. Plenty of room for 7 of us and the skipper. Hanging out inside and outside was spacious and nice. The beds were comfortable. Having 4 bathrooms was nice. Plenty of storage cabinents. Exceeded my expectations for comfort and cleanliness.

George was extremely professional and a lot of fun also. He was a great guide on the islands for dinners. He recommended some sights and trails and pubs at each island. arranged taxis and water taxis to further from the port trips. He described the island choices very weel. Since we had not done a lot of research on these before going. I highly recommend Hydra. The most beautifill island in the Saronic. Stopping there is a must. George picked nice swimming spots along the way. We got to listen to a greek wedding, wigh the grrek music as we swam off shore there. He took us to good retaurants were we treated very well. Food was excellent.

i would recommend this sailing company to anyone who wants to do a trip like this. Eugene, Maria and George made it awesome. Would not have changed a thing.

A FABULOUS WEEK IN BEAUTIFUL GREECE - Visited September 2017

I started planning the sailing trip for the 6 of us with a few criteria in mind. I did not want to work with one of the large charter companies. I wanted to work with a smaller Greek owned outfit that would provide us with great service and hospitality. Yachtsailing.gr was exactly what I was looking for. Eugene and Joanna were polite, informative and professional. Eugene went beyond the call of duty by re-wiring one of the cabins to accomodate a cpap machine needed by one of our party. They took the time to answer all of our questions and helped us plan an amazing week on the sea. Their website is also very informative and I suggest taking the time to read it over. We selected the Lagoon 440 catamaran named Casino. The 440 was clean, comfortable and spacious. My choice of skipper was George Maleas. We hit the jackpot!! He is an extremely competent sailor with a talent for finding the best docking spaces in crowded Greek harbours. The 6 of us had a meeting with George prior to leaving Athens. He tailored the trip to our needs, concerns and requests. It wasn't long before he was a member of the family. I personally started sailing this summer and George was a great teacher. He took the time to familiarize me with the catamaran as well as the complexities of docking in tight spaces. It was a great learning experience. We all agreed that this was a trip of a lifetime. I say, why stop at one trip of a lifetime? It looks like we may need to reserve 2 catamarans for 2018. See you next year skipper!!

Amazing week sailing through the Cyclades Islands! - Visited October 2017

Thank you Yachtsailing.gr for an awesome trip and experience. Everyone on staff was amazing and incredibly attentive. Both Eugene and Joanna kept us informed of our trip and answered a multitude of e-mails prior to our group arriving. Between the website and helpful staff we knew exactly what to expect when we arrived. Our captain, George Maleas sat us down before leaving port and gave us all of our options including the forecast for those that didn't have their sea legs. We decided on the Cyclades and were able to see 6 different islands throughout the week Poros, Serifos, Siros, Paros, Kea and Kithnos. George made great recommendations for dinner each night and different activities during the day. We had the best weather and was able to really sit back and relax the entire trip. A private charter is the best way to make the most of your vacation and see what the islands have to offer. 

We had 3 couples and chartered the Lagoon 440 'Casino', which made for a very comfortable trip with plenty of space. We may have crowded George while sailing but he had the best views on the skybridge. Although the weather was perfect having air conditioning at night was the envy of some of our neighbors. A tip for provisions get the basics delivered toilet paper, water, and lots of ice. The islands have plenty of restaurant options so don't load up on too much food.

Amazing Week on the Saronic Gulf with Captain Harris and Vicky! - Visited November 2017

We can't say enough good things about the Yachtsailing.gr team. Our week sailing the Saronic Gulf was simply amazing -- the trip of a lifetime. 

Our family (me, wife, kids 14, 12, and 8, along with 79-year-old mother) visited Poros, Spetsis, Nafplio, Hydra, Epidavros, and Aegina, plus numerous stops at hidden coves for swimming and beach exploration. At every port, Harris had local connections for great meals, arranged smooth transportation to archeological sites, and knew out-of-the way vendors for treats like loukoumades, amygdalotas and fresh, hot bread every morning. Speaking of great meals, our hostess Vicky cooked traditional Greek dishes like pastisio, rizzoni, and an apple cake for breakfast that was fabulous. The kids loved it -- and the adults did, too.

On the administrative side, Eugene and Ioanna made the reservation and planning phase easier than I ever thought possible from across the Atlantic, and our departure and return processes were both smooth and stress free.

We left Alimos Marina feeling like family, and we're already talking about when we can return for another week with Harris and Vicky. If you are considering a trip to the Greek Islands, don't waste energy looking anywhere else. Yachtsailing.gr is the team to work with -- no question about it.

Best holiday ever - Visited in October 

I'm so glad to recommend Yachtsailing.gr which organised the cruise we just finished around the Greek islands.

From the beginning of my contact with Eugene at Yachtsailing.gr it was a pleasure to plan this beautiful holiday. Eugene introduced me to Maria at YachtSailing who helped us choose which islands we wanted to visit and how long we should stay at each. 

One of the best parts of the holiday was first arriving at the pier and seeing the beautiful ship Casino, Lagoon 440 which was to be our home on the sea for the next week. 

George our skipper was the loveliest guy and answered all our questions about the islands, where we should eat and even how to talk a little Greek along the way.

My partner and I love swimming and snorkelling and George took us to some of the most beautiful swimming spots I have ever visited. Crystal clear waters, clean beaches and sun. 

We couldn't believe how beautiful each island was and how well George knew the different islands, their ports, history and culture.

The whole holiday was so effortless and joyful and it was cheaper than we had expected which was a bonus.

George took time to take us to the restaurants on the islands that serve traditional Greek food and to help us have the best holiday of our life.

Our big fat Greek Sailing Adventure!!! - Visited November 2017

We were a bit worried at the beginning, was our first time renting a boat and sailing the Aegean Sea, with our 74 years old Mom and our 67 Aunt on board!!!!!
Really since day one everything was perfect, Eugene suggestions, Ioanna's help through all the preparatives... But the heroes in this amazing adventure were Dora & George!!! Both were extremely patient and nice with our "two old babies "on board, really they were amazing! Besides they expertise as skipper and hostess!!! Was a great experience.... and of course we'll be back soon!!! OPA!

We rent the Lagoon 440 for one week. and we Sail to Saronic gulf. We went to Poros , Hydra, Dokos and Egina. I thing Hydra is the highlight of the area and everybody sailing around should visit. The company's people were very professional and very helpful. As we were not very experienced we asked for a skipper to be with us for the first day. They suggest us Theodore who was teacher in a sailing school and very experienced and come with us to Poros. There we had some practice on docking the boat to refresh our skills and he help us a lot on that. I want to stand on that even we pay for one day, the whole week we used to call him for any question we had about the boat ,the islands or the trip. That make us feel very secured while we were not familiar sailing this area.

Our family of 5 had an amazing trip sailing around the Greek islands in May. Theodore, our Skipper/guide, gave us all kinds of tips and tricks which made our vacation perfect. We really wanted to see Santorini and Theodore arranged for us to take a speed boat to the island for an overnight stay. He also recommend we visit the Archaeological site of Delos which didn’t disappoint. We’ve enjoyed the beauty of the Mediterranean, authentic Greek food and incredible family time while sailing between the islands. The entire Yacht Sailing team has been amazing from start to finish.
